This one took me a while to wrap my head around. Didn’t help that I kept inadvertently creating extra geometry that kept messing me up.

That happens to me when I extrude sometimes. I extrude and then right-click, forgetting that that doesn’t cancel the extrude, but only cancels moving the new geometry after extruding. The new geometry is still there right on top of the old.

I suspected something like that after I fixed everything, but I wasn’t sure. Thanks for confirming.

It can be a useful gimmick if you’re creating a lip - you can extrude, cancel the move, then scale the new geometry (so long as you haven’t deselected it!). That said, I remember the previous version of this course used that technique to create the board edge, and there was so much confusion lol.
