I can see what Grant was talking about building off various skill sets BEFORE attempting bodies. I’m not a huge fan of military culture. Games. Etc. There were several points though, I thought, “This is like a bone, joint, muscle.” In it’s more box shape before adding tons more polys. It’s been good so far. Good training.
Bodies are difficult. It’s good to build the process slowly with other skill sets so when it comes time to do a complex design like a body it will be much easier to accomplish.
Hard surface modeling is much easier that blobby sacks of water that are organic creatures. If you don’t like the military aspect, you could always change them into servant bots. Instead of a gun turret, a vacuum connection. Replace the laser cannon with a food service tray. That is the fun of modular components. You can change pieces parts and still come up with something interesting.
Very good looking vehicles and setting for the render.
