My Modular Dungeon

Some renders from my modular dungeon

I thought about making an animation for it but decided against it as I thought I should learn some more before I attempt something like that, though I did rig a hand

It’s better to do more smaller projects. I know everybody wants to create something for 100%, but if your knowledge is only 10% how to do that?
But some students are capable to do the next steps on their own. Which is good. But some portfolios seen on the web took months to produce. For that, you need to learn how to break a big project into smaller parts.

  • Create a modular dungeon (parts) - DONE
  • Create a hand and arm - In progress
  • Rig the hand - Done
  • Add restrictions to the armature for better animation
  • Build an animation where an object is followed by the camera, in a loop
  • Learn to optimize render settings, for a speedier animation (because animation development is done many times…). Discuss for yourself whether to use Eevee or Cycles.
  • Draw, and write an animation story as a storyboard

So many small project steps, with a lot of learning moments. That is why you do this course. Learn many aspects of Blender.

Have fun, show your progress.

Good dungeon but the flooring workers were probably executed! Very broken and rough looking floor laying job!
