It’s looking good, except it’s a bit too dark for my monitor, so it may be missing details I can’t readily see.

The contrast on you monitor may be high. From mine I can see the details just fine. I am familiar with this because when I play horror games, I sometimes purposely turn the contrast up so my visibility is low (darker areas are darker / light areas are lighter) for an extra challenge. Provides a headache overtime however.
To remedy this, turn the brightness up (not the back light) if available.
