I would love to add stars to the backdrop in the future once I learn how to do that.
Also for some reason my flying particles are not working but all the other ones work. Does anyone have a solution?

For the stars, you could try making your own skybox with photoshop.
Also, for the particles, could you elaborate a bit more on your issue? Are you playing the particles and stopping the particles properly in code? Try rechecking your code.
