The “crow” does to me feel a bit big but it is matching the reference.
I added it as a box on top then attached it by subdiveding the bottom so that I had as many verticies on both pieces. Then I added a Sphere on top and attached that to the mesh as well.
I don’t think it looks too big at all, it feels nice and prominent; I just hope the smoothing process doesn’t mess with it too much; I do really enjoy the shape you’ve made for it
Smoothing can be handled by introducing more edges (vertices, loop cuts).
And or the grease value of an edge.
Or divide a mesh into mesh objects.
