See if this reply in the Q&A helps but i would check the vertex groups are not multiple assigned so you are actually getting body hair on the ears or the like 
Thanks a lot! i’ll look into the parent and child. Indeed had multiple assigned vertex groups. Finally I made the ears as separate objects which improved it a lot, but there is still some funny stuff going on.
