I have used two textures, the one in the game asset pack and then one I made just for this exercise. The image is too small and the colors are uneven but I still got a brick wall.
I could not get the poles set up right in the globe exercise. I guess I should have tried a couple of times more? The UV map was just all over the place. Should have I reset to get a different map?
The Blender engine worked okay and transitioning back to cycles was just about turning the nodes on, nothing special there. I couldn’t get the UV map to hsow in Blender, though, until I chose the image from the drop-up-paradox menu. Was that how it was supposed to go?
Anyway, that was fun, and I made my Very First Texture.
