My first render in Blender (a bit simple)

Tried to make some sort of shed for my first render in Blender. A bit too simple, especially compared to some of the first renders of other students. But, I hope improve a lot over time.

I don’t know if it’s the right place to post the rendered image. If not, please, show me the best place where I should post it. And apologies for my bad english.

Looks good! The lighting is a little confusing. I’m not that great at lighting but maybe strong shadows from only 1 or two directions would help this read a bit better. They will talk about it a bit more I think during the course.

Yes, you are right!
It’s also an outside scene where there needs to be only one sun (lamp).
But as a first project, a great outcome.

Welcome to this site.
A fine first render!
Do not be put off by other posters work here looking better, some of us have gone through the updated course to get used to the changes in Blender with the big upgrade after 2.79. We have all been where you are, beginning, one time.

Yes this is the right place to post your work, in the ‘show’ section.
Your English is fine, no problems.

Thank you for your comment.

Yeah, you’re right about the lighting. I was struggling a bit with it, because I wasn’t able to properly illuminate one of the sides of the house/shed.

Glad to hear that it’s going to talk more about lighting in the course because it’s still a weak point for me.

Thank you for your comment and thank you for your compliment.

I probably should have used the sun instead of a normal light, but I didn’t thought about that. Looks like I need to experiment more with the lighting.

Thank you for your welcome and your comment.

I know, probably I should use everyone’s works as a motivation to became better on Blender instead of putting myself down. But it can be a bit hard and off puting to see other student’s works at a better level than what I do.

Thank you again for your response, as I was afraid that I didn’t post my work in the right section.
