So I decided that since it’s a spaceship it should be in space. I was thinking of going for a “mine the asteroid field” kind of thing if I decide to take this to a full game.
If anyone is interested here are the assets I used for the asteroids it was:
Space Shooter Asteroids by Ebal Studios
SpaceSkies Free 1.0 by NightSoundGames
Both are free on the asset store. For the dense fields top and bottom I created a particle system that uses a mesh for the renderer and then added a boz collider.
