This character looks so great :o I also like this little (magic ?) sphere in the center of the construction. It makes the scene a bit fancy.
Good job !

haha yes it is a magick sphere, i really wanted to put much more details in to it and create a better structure behind the statue.

right in the next lecture we learn to copy, wich would save my life towards my first work, lol, i’m looking foward to learn about faces and character ( bones, animation ) i have the design and concept of my game but the 3d was killing me, this course is amazing and im learning a lot.

Thanks.

Yes I totally agree about this course. I’m only in section 2 and I would still recommend it without hesitation.
And as you are I would like to get some skils in character design. I tried to create one once, but I faced some strange things I would like to understand x)

or character design, mote than this course would be good to go and see some video just about the character design, if you want i can show you the links.

i dont know why but the only concept of my game that i have on my pc is a really old one from 1-2 years ago, its just the armour. i once did a course about character design, unity, blender, but it wanst good, and i remember hating blender at the time… for real.
i want to finish to be able to made the game as soon as possible.
this armour design was made in the middle of the class, blue pen and quick as possible, i never ended the draw, i didn’t even had the character at the time, so i gived it some tries and dindt like the final product ( terrible art ) so i passed a long time studyng art and even architecture, but… blender… not and here i am now, hope this get right.

Yes I would definitively like to get some good tutorials about making character. I tried this one from Darrin Lile : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QT1GNMevfc. It’s very complete and very well explained, but then I got some weird stuff I couldn’t solve because I didn’t know the basics.

Your art could indeed be a good start for an heroic fantasy game. The armours look very cool. And yeah I don’t find either Blender very user friendly and there is much things to learn about it x)

wow, thats a jump ahead, well i think i can help you with character design.

before you go straight to blender, its better for you to undestand the design itself. here are some videos that may help you.
(Yes the first one is anime based, but its really good and explain well about character design)

when youre creating the character ( im taking the video you showed me as a hint) being catoon, japanese animation styles, etc. you need to understand the bones and muscles ( same goes for drawing)

  • try searching for the artist GEORGE B. BRIDGMAN ( more especifc this book ) the title is in PT-BR in english should be something like ANATOMY - THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE FIGURE.

changing topics, well its a old design i made, and i already changed, but for now i am focused in making the character ann now i am studyng the human face

there is still a lot to go ( being specific 4/342 faces ) and after the faces, the body-perspective etc.

Wow thank you very much for all this nice stuff ! I will check this right now
Indeed I started Blender without any knowledge about design. I think missed some steps. I’m going to slow down the Blender course and dedicate myself more in design, drawing some stuff and try some things away.

I like your faces by the way, it will give me some kind of goal to reach.
So for now I’m going to leave Blender a bit and grab some papers and pen.
