My first post here 
I’m new to blender and 3d modelling but I’m really enjoying the course so far.
Here’s my finished mech from section 2, I stayed quiet close to the original so it’s not as creative as some of the other submissions but I’m still quite happy with it

Welcome to this site.
When you are new to Blender it is a good idea to stick to the course closely. Plenty of time later to develop your own ideas when you have more tools and controls under your belt. Lots here have done the original courses some years ago so do not be put off by fancier offerings, that will be you in a while too!
