I have finished my Mayan pyramid, I followed to the section instructions for most of the design, but put staircases on all 4 sides. I also added doorways on all 4 sides, extruded them all inwards by 2, deleted the faces at the back, joined the walls, and created a ceiling and floor inside.
The result was that the four doorways travel straight through the pyramid.
