What I did was firstly using cycles render instead of the standard render and secondly i replaced the standard light bulb with a sun. As with any other object, you can just delete the light bulb by selecting it and pressing X and add a sun just like you would add any other object (in object mode: shift + a -> light -> sun).
After adding it just rotate the sun to your liking!
