Yeah, the shoes are way too square.
I kinda based the model on Megaman/Rocketman Characters and they usually have really massive feet for whatever reason, but I do think I needed to stretch the legs for that to work properly.

“Megaman” was the first thought that came to mind. I was a playstation and PC kid- megaman was for “those” Nintendo kids. But that did not stop me from playing nintendo games (and enjoying them) when I was at their houses.
