This is just me finally taking the plunge and doing some basic modelling along with Grant Abbit on the Low Poly Character Bite-Sized Course.
It took me getting a meal in my stomach to calm my anxiety, but I got it done. I have my Cyborg on the Right and the Block Man for a scale reference.
I scaled the Block guy down so he was right about 2m tall. I have Blender set up with a Cylinder that is 1m wide and 2m tall, as a scale reference and I noticed that our Block Man and Woman were a bit too large, so I shrunk them right down and then got to working on my Cyborg.
I started to go for a Ninja aesthetic and saw those little insets on the ends of the arms we were making and said, those would be perfect ports for some energy claws. As they say, the rest is history.
To be honest, I’ve messed with Blender for a good 3-5 years, but very sporadically. Apparently I’ve been on this site for 10 years. Who knew!
Anyway, I’ve just started back with messing with it for some practice and to see if I can make some basic characters to put into Redot so I can use them to make a Player Character or some Enemies run around and do their thing.
At any rate, enjoy.
