I like both, but it’s you in charge as a designer! :wink:

Try to soften the board edges, use a tiny bevel. And if the light is placed correctly you get a nice reflection.

A practical way of lighting is to use one (key) lamp, make it as bright as possible (white but not that white as burned in 100% white)
Then add a soft, less strong FILL light. To light up the dark side not covered by the first key light.

  • Don’t use too many color strengths.
  • Eevee and Cycles can give different outcomes, choose one.
  • A lamp has a size, increase the size for softer shadows.
  • On a sun lamp use angle, for soft shadows.
  • Put a lamp farther away, but increase strength improve overall lighting (evenly lit) or use the sun.
