My Castle Defender ("glitch garden")

Hello!

Here’s my version of “Glitch Garden” from the GameDev.tv Unity 2D course.

I tried to balance 10 levels on 4 levels of difficulty, and I found this game to be VERY difficult to adjust, to achieve fun and challenge for the player.

I completely changed the theme of the game. In my case I used “medieval castle” style sprites and animated characters. I added a few features, such as the attacker “tank”, life bars de-activatable by the options screen, full level music and full SFX.
I developed an SFX engine that allows you to configure the maximum allowed number of overlapped sounds for a given FX.

Notice that the player can kinda cheat by spamming a place location, which allows you to place an object immediately after the enemy destroyed your object, but before the enemy progresses …

Absolutely loved this. Especially the game art and sound effects !!!
