Before and after impact. Tried to add some motion blur to the ball in the first frame using photoshop but maybe I need to take a photoshop course to get that bit right.

Photoshop is a beast with so much potential. I can’t say I can help with motion blur, unfortunately, but I really enjoy your use of lighting for highlight and focus.

Blender can do its own motion blur. But you would need an animated moving scene. Then a frame from it I think. Not something I have ever tried.

It can be done in Blender too using Blender Post-processing (compositor). It will using the z-depth data. But it’s more advanced lessons.
But most people will use camera blur option (focus), which is part of the Chess challenge.
