My Bowling Pin (But it looks weird)

Hi,

Here’s the bowling pin that I created but when I click on Shade Smooth it comes out weird. How can I fix this? Thanks!

Welcome to this site.

The first thing I would check is that your normals are facing the right way.
In the overlays drop down right above the letter ‘m’ on transform in the top right corner of the 3d window of your image. In the panel that drops down, tick the box called ‘face orientation’. Your pin should all look blue then. If there are and red faces showing that means they are bach to front.

To fix that, in edit mode, press ‘A’ to select all the verts, then Alt+N, selecting ‘recalculate outside’. This will turn all the pin blue as it should be. You can then untick the ‘face orientation’ tick box.

Normals and merge by distance.
If this does not solve the issue you may need to redo the curve and convert at they might have doubles at that point
