It seems I keep trying to duplicate the tutorial as much as possible, but I tend to mess up something which leads me to feeling disappointed. But this time when I felt that I was messing up the ears, I just went with my gut and wound up with this. The ears are fairly different from the tutorial, but I actually like the end result.

Nothing wrong with your model!
A small difference at the start will accumulate more towards the end. The course is not about how to create an exact duplicate, but about learning the tools and procedures.
Focus on the tools what they do and why we use them.
