This is probably a silly question that I’m pretty sure I know the answer to but not 100% certain.
So in order to use a CPU to render alongside the GPU I assume you would need a CPU with integrated graphics correct? I’ve never even attempted it with mine because I just assumed you would need the integrated graphics so I was too scared to try it.

No, The CPU ‘machine’, can do the work. It is just not dedicated and optimised for only that task like graphics cards are.

Thanks for your reply, I just assumed you needed integrated graphics, I was just curious about it, I mean it wouldn’t make sense for me to use it anyway considering I’m running an RTX 3060, but I might test it out just to see what sort of speed it runs at, its an i5-11400F 2.60GHz so nothing special in that regard so i suspect it would be quite slow.
