I enjoyed making monsters. Not a huge fan of my shading, I tend toward line shading/specular shading/cross hatching. It takes a bit longer at times but I’m more pleased with the results.

It’s also learning the way light (direction) works, and to give volume to the object.
Not particular shading itself.
