Missing UV Map for attaching curves on original surface error

Hi,

After watching Grant’s youtube video about new hair particle system. I wanted to add hair to my first sculpture but I am getting this error while trying to add hair.

Do you have any idea about what i am missing here? :cold_sweat:

  • Create a UV-Map first?

Just follow the original GameDev course(s) to learn the basic Blender features.

I still could not finish watching the 3.2 version updates on the course, I guess I will be able to overcome this issue after watching the UV-Map section :roll_eyes:

I’ve already added a UV-Map through here

after applying all modifiers on my mesh and get back to sculpt mode now I am able to add hair but now it is only adding hair to the last selected vertex. (eyebrow area in this case)

Even though I am trying to add hair to the forehead it adds to the eyebrow. Do I need to Unwrap my whole mesh before adding hair with this new hair particle system on 3.3?

The way hair is applied is totally different than the old way.

No, you should only need to unwrap where you want to put hair. But if you go that route, I think you’ll need multiple UV-maps.
