Migrate vs copy

What happens if I migrate from the asset pack unreal project to the simple shooter project?
Is there anything else done besides copying the files?

What happens if I extract it from the zip files directly to the content folder of the project?

Second question: If I go go epic launcher/library and import some asset packs to a project they are directly imported to the content folder. In this project you made a subfolder “assetpacks” and included them.
Whats best practice? Content folder as root or seperate asset packs folder?

If you’re copying everything, I doubt there’s a difference. However if you were to migrate a single asset it will also migrate everything it needs.

I wouldn’t separate them personally. Off the top of my head I’m not quite sure what the benefit of separating it would be and would just make it harder to maintain and navigate.
