Metal? Or glowing amber?

Tower with Metal

I fear i got too ambitious with my design, and my brass … uh… tower standy-uppy things… came out looking more like energy-storying amber.

I also have a problem switching between my drawing pen, and my mouse. The program becomes super sluggish until I mouse or pen off of and then back onto the Blender window.

I am loving the course so far, and will be practicing my metal-texturing between lessons.

UPDATE:
(Just in case anyone else is having trouble with the mouse / pen conundrum)
I went in and set up my tablet driver so that the tablet button emulates the Middle Mouse Click function, and now everything works fine.

Looks a good :grin: on fire tower!
Those ‘standy up bits’, are called Merlons.

Good model using the course methods.
