Mech with Material and HDR Texture!

Finally finished my first render with HDR to the Mech

PS: My god! Is so hard to find a good position in this environment. Every movement with the camera makes the character smaller, bigger or floating in the road :exploding_head: … Btw, there’s some way to resize the HDR texture, or rotate it to fit better?

Good work on the mech.

The Hdri can be adjusted in the materials world nodes you set it up in. It needs texture coordinate and mapping nodes, put in by Ctrl T on the environment image node automatically if you have node wrangler enabled.

Then the mapping node lets you rotate it for example.

The old Blender 2.79 course, had a very nice chapter on aligning a photo with your object.
You can find the focal point of the photo and use that info for your camera Mech setup.
Even with the trick, to merge the mech shadow on the road.

It were the SFX chaper(s).

WOW! I was trying to understand your words googling here, lol… Node wrangler is an add-on! Now I got it! Thank you!

Yes sorry, should have been more clear. It is pretty much the first one to activate once you use nodes.

That would be great! I didn’t even notice there’s no shadow on the road :man_facepalming:
Thank you for you attention!

Well… Anyway I think it fits better in its own habitat  I don’t think I’ll ever use a texture like that in a game.

Thank you guys!
