I got the answer 2, you have zero as correct
and on desmos it intersects twice a far as i can tell assuming i’ve not miss typed…

Good catch, thanks for pointing this out. I’ll get it updated as soon as I can.
From the explanation, it looks like I put the + and - the wrong way around in the equation, so it should have been; y = x^2 - 12x + 38, which has no roots.
You’re absolutely correct though that the equation as written would have 2 roots.
