In Captain Sonar, 2 teams of 4 players are secretly hunting the enemy submarine, and each player has a specific set of tasks according to their role (move, use weapons, manage systems, listen to opponents…)
In Fief, players lead families of lords in medieval times, developing lands, moving armies, plotting and scheming for political or military domination.
A mashup could be:
- Teams of 4 players (lords) developing lands and maneuvering armies in secret
- Each manages a specific aspect of their kingdom; one of them has spies and listens to enemy plans
- Players must hunt and kill the enemy king, protected by the other team
