Manual retopology trouble

Hello!
So I’ve been trying my hand at manual retopology…

Here’s my result… I think it’s not correct. Any idea on how to fix this? Or more generally, are there any tricks to redirect the edge flows so they go the way we want?

There’s another edge flow which looks suspicious but I’m not sure if it’s correct or not…

Oh, erm, after some searching I found this picture, might be useful to other people in my case! It’s a very nice trick to make the edge flows turn 90°!

I think my problem is solved! (but feel free to give me more feedback if you see anything wrong)

Well found. Yes poles are the way to turn loops.

Well done doing manual retopology much better than auto.
