Making the wedge

what are some other ways to make the wedge that we do in the Vertices, Edges and Faces part? I came up with making a cuboid and deleting vertices/edges or making a wedge within the normal cube and then scaling it by 4 on the Y axis but where else can I use the dissolve function other than how its done in the Edit Mode video? and I apologise if my wording isn’t quite right with the different terms etc, hopefully you know what I mean.

This challenge is about working with vertices.
removing two of them, using the dissolve edge command.

In Blender there is no good or wrong in manipulating the object’s mesh. Only efficiency.
And the end result count, no matter how you came to the solution.

  • In Blender you can subtract an object from another object. A cube MINUS a slightly rotated cube. Which creates a wedge object. Sometimes handy, sometimes not.
  • In an empty object you can add a single vertex and second, and the third one. Connecting them in a triangle. Duplicate the triangle and connect both to create a wedge. Many commands, not so efficient.
