Low Poly Pawn

I did apply the Subdivision Surface modifier, but only a bit, still low poly, (754 triangles.)
When I first did it, I extruded the top edges of the pawn base, & then I tried to bevel the neck area, & it went all screwy, & so when I looked at it with “Face orientation” it was all red, inverted! I don’t know, why? So, I deleted all that, & instead extruded with the top faces of the pawn base, & it was all blue & good, & beveled just fine.

This can happen quite easily if you did a negative scale at any point. This can happen accidentally when you “sscale and take the mouse through the origin or do a -1 scale to do a quick-mirror of geometry. You will only notice your mistake once you go to lookdev or rendered mode or switch on “Face orientation” as you did.
Can easily be corrected with a recalculate normals in edit-mode.
