My Base mesh has 11520 Tris right out of curve to mesh.
after the reduction I got 864 Tris.

I made a try to reduce the edge at the top of my base,
by making every other quad to a triangle at the bottom of the ring shape.
since it’s much smaller than the bottom.
The render result is almost satisfying, but I lose the crease at the bottom.
