I’m planning to take a deliberate detour on this section of the course; but keeping with the low poly style. I want to dive into hand drawn textures. I think it’s a very interesting and creative way to bridge the gap between number of polygons in our geometry and apparent detail.
I plan to take some inspiration from the youtube videos of another instructor from this site, Grant Abbitt. Specifically his mobile game assets videos. Still pretty new to this site so I haven’t checked out any of his courses here yet, but I most likely will at some point in the future.
It’s something I haven’t really done before, but it’s a skill I’d like to learn. It might turn out awful but I won’t know until I try. ^^
