Low Poly Chess Set






I’m having trouble with the knight. There’s a horrible, unnatural shadow on the back of him. Unfortunately, I don’t know how to solve it.

I saw that knight issue. Is there any internal geometry come from the mane creation?

Check for vertex double and inner faces…

There is no internal geometry. The double vertices are also missing.
In the screenshot you can see that the mane consists of 14 vertices and the same is displayed at the bottom (Vertices 14/181) (it is written in Russian)

OK. Try going to the mesh data properties tab(green triangle) and down to the geometry dropdown. If there is the opting in there to clear custom normals take it. X the button.
I have no idea how they crop up but another student had that and I have found it a couple of time myself.

I also noticed that if you render through Cycles, there are fewer problems, but it’s still not perfect
