Loop cuts instead?

Pretty happy with the way this looks but not sure if using loop cuts will pose problems

I did the exact same thing. Watching what he did later seemed way harder to me. Maybe there is a reason he didn’t use them.

I also did loop cuts, I think the end result is the same, just we ended up with more vertices.
