I don’t know which better to have more pixels (I’m using 32x32) or few pixel (it has to 16x16 challenge)

I’d say there isn’t a “better” way, both canvas sizes are valid for pixel art. It would only depend on what size you choose overall for all your items, and keep it consistent from there. It might be worth challenging your self though to see if you can make a smaller version.
