This time, I got a more tree trunk wood splintering effect. Using grease pencil fracturing.
But with this solution, it will splinter the whole tree (top-down). And I want to leave the bottom part alone. So I divided the tree. But as you can see, the parts won’t fit nicely any more. I think because of the smoothing option. An other problem is that the wood pieces are roughly of the same length (less variation).
But when you blow things up, you can’t be picky. 
… I see now , with coming lesson 256, that my broken tree truck problem, can be solved by excluding layers … Nice, but too late for this project. Now I’m going to blow up my chess set instead!
