Lighthouse

So… this is the render that blender gave me:

And this is a screen shot I made of what I see in blender:

Anyone knows where is the problem? I want the render to look exactly like the image I’m looking at inside blender and I don’t know where the problem is…

Edit: thanks to NP5 and FedPete, I obliviously left the default light on the scene but I had it disabled on the viewport and that’s why I couldn’t put my finger on the problem, once I deleted the light I got this:

I suspect there is a light in the viewport that is hidden, turned off. But it is not in the render.

Please give full screenshots with any questions. With the relevant panels open.
Also, include the lecture time and name/number that is relevant to the problem/issue.
The screenshot can be done by Blender itself, via the ‘Window’ menu bar top left hand side.
On that menu drop down is ‘save screenshot’.
Close ups additionally where they help.

As NP5 explained, Blender has a lot of options for each Object.
Like is an object used in the viewport (eye) and or in the render (Camera) too

Also, light source can be blocked by another object too? Check you design

And always provide a screen dump:
Screen shots can also be done in Blender, via the 'Window’ menu bar top left-hand side. Select ‘Save screenshot’.
