Here is the lighthouse I modeled as a part of the course’s Introduction section. All the lighting I have set up in the scene looks different than the settings shown on the video probably because of my graphics card I am using. I am in the process of replacing my graphics card with the newer model.

It also depends on the scale of your model.
Blender uses real live metrics, like a 100Watt lamp and its decay after some meters.
And then it also depends on using Eevee or Cycles for rendering.
Don’t copy and past but try to understand the relation of these properties.
