Leto's Bombs

The title isn’t interesting enough, but I thought for my game, why should the rocket have to slow down and stop on the green pad?
Why not speed up and destroy something after navigating through the obstacles?

Player Experience - Guiding a remote controlled missile
Core Mechanic - Get past traps that are guarding bombs that will destroy Earth
Core Game Loop - Get from A to B. Hit B as fast as you can
Game Theme - Sci-Fi Save the Earth
Name - Leto’s Bombs

Why I thought this? If it takes skill to slow the rocket down in Ben’s game, it will take skill to aim a missile, while travelling quickly, to target B. This would mean slow approach past the traps, but when you get clear sight of the bomb at the end, you aim and fire.

There would be some bonus goodies if I get round to it. Pick Ups is one idea. You either speed up or turn into a heavy bomb, so sometimes it’s best to pick these Pick Ups up, but sometimes it’s best to avoid them.

I thought it was quite good, no?
Kevin.

I like the twist on level completion

I actually liked the title. Lots of good stuff in the idea.
