I’ve tried to make a model of a Boeing 747. This was less of a block modelling exercise than the example in the lecture. The body is a cylinder, with cones for the front and back. The wings were essentially starting with a cube, then removing all but one edge, and then extruding the vertices from a top-down view to make a face, and then extruding the face to give it depth in the z axis. The back wings were similar.

nice. I had no idea what other people would make! it’s interesting to see how different peoples takes on this exercise are!
