Learning path I could follow?

Hi everyone,

as someone who want to make games using Blender and Unity, I’d like to know if there is a learning path I could follow from the courses. I feel stuck because I have too many options. I am maybe enrolled in too many courses at the same time

I am sure that the same material is explained at different places and I would like to learn from the most up to date material if possible.

I’m enrolled in the following courses

  • Unity complete 1.0 : almost finished bowling master
  • Unity 2.0 : working on Project boost
  • Unity RPG : not started yet
  • Blender : Section S05 Animated Lamp
  • Characters : not started yet

Thank you gamedev.tv for your excellent courses!!

This is a pretty tough question to answer  and to be honest, the answer you’re looking for will probably depend on what suits your learning style best.

Most up to date material? - I’d assume the most up to date material is in Unity 2.0 (but wouldn’t neglect Unity 1.0 completely).

Feeling stuck? - I do notice you’re jumping around the courses. If this works for you, thats fine. If you are feeling stuck, maybe finish a course first before moving to the other courses? But again, do what suits you best.

Want to make games using Blender and Unity? - Seeing as you’ve done up to bowling master, project boost and animated a lamp, my advice would be to just start making a game (a simple one, even if its a tic tac toe clone).

There’s nothing that helps your ‘learning path’ more than actually starting making games.

Yeah, I should take the plunge and make make a simple game with my current knowledge.

Thank you.
