Nothing too spectacular here, the main difference is that I rendered the sprites from 3D objects, which I think worked out fairly well and could be even better with a little more effort. (I should note that I didn’t model the 3D objects myself, I just set up the textures and did the rendering). The bombs and enemy lasers need work, but I like what I was able to do with the player projectiles, which were also rendered.
As you can see I really like the Text Mesh Pro Glow effect.
