I am following along in the video for the Lamps and Emissive materials section and the spotlight is not projecting any light when the Cast Shadow box is checked. If I uncheck the box, I get a light. I am using Blender 3.1.2 and as far as I know I have everything set up the way that it is supposed to be and all of the viewport and render toggles for the light are turned on. Any help would be great

So after playing around with the scene, there was a mirror modifier that wasn’t applied on the cube. Once that was applied, the lighting worked.

Please use next time, the Blender main menu > windows > save screenshot. It shows the whole Blender setup. Including version number.
