Lamp rerigged

That was a difficult challenge, but for the third try i could done it. I had the same problems as everyone, deformation, blown up pieces and chaos and i was mad about myself, what did i do wrong? I’ve read the comments in chapter topics and there were two things i found. Apply transformations if you move/rotate/scale in object mode and put the armature into rest mode before adding it to the lamp mesh armature modifier! With these in mind i built a schematic model of the lamp, just cylinders and blocks as simple as possible and went trough the process again and it worked! So i applied the holy knowledge on my original lamp model and tonight i can rest :smiley:

Yes I’ve had the same problems as well. I find it bizarre but I guess its just something you have to deal with… hey ho.
