Lamp render with new materials

Here is my current lamp! I’m having some issues with the denoiser, especially around the base of the lamp, but I’m overall really happy with the progress!

Edit: I should mention, my denoiser issues are coming from a really high amount of fireflies(is that the word?) when rendering my scene. Should I turn down the amount of samples taken?

Looking good, try some more overall lighting. Dark scenes are harder on noise.

What denoiser does is to guess data (color) where no data is (noise, fireflies). Denoising became very smart in the last Blender revisions. But it comes with blurriness as you have experienced.
Only option, more light or higher samples 1000, 2000 …

I love the way your lamp looks! The glass lamp shader looks definitely interesting, but kind of defeats the purpose.
Looking forward to seeing this little guy animated!
