I created an actual lightbulb for mine 
For the light I used a Plane Mesh and followed the Chocofur tutorial of IES Lights worked as a charm!
Needed to disable the Shadow of the Cycles properties of the Light bulb too otherwise I would get shadows from it…
Will start working on the armatures now!
