Here’s my animation test. I rendered using Cycles, with 32 samples without denoising, 1080 at 75%. It took around 3 sec to render the frames where the light hit the desk and other objects, and about a sec to render the frames where the lamp was looking up mid air.
I see specular spots inside the lamp by the end of the animation, which I think is a bit unrealistic, since I believe the inside of the shade would be completely bright and it wouldn’t reflect any light source from outside. To test it, I removed the spot light I was using inside the lamp, and increased the emission of the bulb. This took about an extra second to render the frame.
