Hi. Could I please get some feedback specifically on the topology of my knight? Is it “okay”?! Thanks. The mane is made of N-gons (formerly beveled edges), and on a few occasions I’ve made loop cuts around the entire model and dissolved part of them. Something tells me that’s a no-no. Probably lots of non-planar geometry as well. Sigh…

It looks good!
- You are using mostly quad faces.
- Poles, and N-Gons are hard to avoid (or you need to keep all the mesh created by loop cuts).
- The mane could be a different mesh object, avoiding dissolving edges (loop cuts).
- This challenge is not about good topology, but about using the mirror and a bit of block sculpting.
- Nonplanar, is hard to avoid. But there are some options in Blender to make this triangulation in the render less visible. Hard surfacing tricks.
Personally, the eyes of the knight are different. Horses look to the side, not to the front as a predator would have.
